Arglwydd cadarn bydd [o'm / o'n] hochr

(Presennoldeb Duw)
Arglwydd cadarn, bydd o'n hochr,
  Dal fy ysbryd llesg i'r lan,
Gwyddost amled yw'm gelynion,
  Ac nad wyf ond eiddil gwan;
    Yn mhob trallod,
  Rho im' wel'd dy
        fod o'm tu.

Mae fy meiau fel mynyddoedd,
  Ac fel ser y nef
        eu rhi';
Ond mae haeddiant aberth Iesu,
  Yn anfeidrol fwy i mi;
    Dyma unig
  Sail fy nghysur a fy hedd.

Arglwydd cadarn, bydd o'm hochr,
  Dál fy ysbryd llesg i'r lán;
Gwyddost amled yw'm gelynion,
  Er nad wyf ond eiddil gwan;
    Yn mhob trallod,
  Rho im' wel'd dy
        fod o'm tu.

Mae fy meiau fel mynyddoedd,
  Ac fel sêr y nef
        eu rhi';
Ond mae haeddiant aberth Iesu,
  Yn anfeidrol fwy i mi;
    Er mwyn Iesu,
  Dyro gysur im' a hedd.

Pa'm yr ofnaf feiau mawrion?
  Trymach ydyw marwol glwy';
Mwy yw gair o enau'm Harglwydd,
  Nac yw myrdd o honynt hwy;
    Goruchafiaeth,
  Fydd yn hyfryd pan y dêl.

(The Presence of Duw)
Firm God, be on our side,
  Hold my frail spirit up,
Thou knowest how manifold are my enemies,
  And that I am only weak and feeble;
    In every trouble,
  Grant me to see that thou
        art on my side.

My faults are like mountains,
  And their number like the
        stars of heaven;
But the merit of the sacrifice of Jesus is
  Immeasurably greater to me;
    Here alone is
  The basis of my comfort and my peace.

Why shall I fear great faults?
  Heavier is a mortal wound;
Greater is a word from my Lord's mouth,
  Than is a myriad of them;
    Supremacy,
  Will be delightful when it comes.
